Alison is a native of Barrie, Ontario. She has spent her entire adult life studying and working in health and physical fitness modalities, and pursuing multiple avenues of wellness and holistic healing. Alison studied at York University in Toronto, earning her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, and a Certificate in Sports Therapy. Along with her studies, Alison competed as a sprinter on the Track and Field team, and spent her spare time riding horses.    In 1996 Alison entered into the Massage Therapy Program at Sutherland-Chan in Toronto and to this day continues to practice massage. In 2004 Alison entered the Osteopathic Program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, completing the extensive five year academia in May of 2009. She is presently entering into the thesis portion of the program and will present her thesis in November of 2011.    With nearly two decades of extensive education and practical experience in health, wellness and holistic healing, Alison continues to evolve as a practitioner, seeking new avenues of increasing her knowledge base and improving her practice. Alison’s practice involves both Massage Therapy and Osteopathic Techniques to aid patients in their pursuit of optimal states of health and wellness.    Alison’s lifelong love for animals has led her to devote a large part of her practice to the treatment of horses, dogs and cats. She has found this aspect of her work to be incredibly fulfilling. Her four-legged clients have proven to be very receptive and responsive to treatment.
